The Management Committee oversee the governance and strategic direction of Goldbridge Rehabilitation Services.

Throughout its operational life, the Management Committee has provided invaluable direction, advice and support Goldbridge. We are grateful for their service.

Dr Morgan O’Brien – President

Dr Morgan O’Brien has been a member of the Goldbridge Management Committee for almost 30 years, He has been president since 2019 following a period of 10 years as Vice President and was President for many yers prior. Dr O’Brien is the principal Doctor of the Broadbeach Medical Centre. Morgan graduated from University College Cork (UCC), Ireland, with a Bachelor of Medicine before immigrating to Australia in 1978. He provides invaluable knowledge to the organisation especially in relation to addictions medicine. Morgan has been a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (F.A.M.A.C.) since 1982 and recently qualified as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner (C.I.M.E. – USA). Morgan always makes himself available and is a great support to Goldbridge.

Barbara Hill – Treasurer

Barb was born and educated in Sydney. She went through the Burroughs’s College in Sydney and graduated with Honours. Barb started her first job as a bookkeeper with Collins Brothers Stationery. She then worked for Patent and Trademarks Attorneys in Sydney as a Bookkeeper and Understudy with the Accountant to learn accounting processes. Barb then decided to start a family and went part-time and moved to Queensland. Then she returned to NSW to the Northern rivers town of Mullumbimby where she worked for the Council in a bookkeeping role for 18 years. After this Barb returned to Queensland doing Bookkeeping with a Financial planner in 1995 where she learnt the QuickBooks system. In 2003 Barb became a member of the Goldbridge Management Committee.

Leanne James – Secretary

Leanne James has been on the Goldbridge Management Committee since2018 and currently holds the position of Secretary. She works as Financial Strategic Planning Controller for a private company in Brisbane. Whilst predominantly working in financial roles, she has also spent two years working in the USA, educating Freight Forwarding personnel on new software implementations. This was a very challenging and fruitful step in her life. She started her career in Sydney and relocated to Brisbane with her family just after the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Conor O’Brien – Vice President

Conor O’Brien is CEO of Multikraft Probiotics Australia. An agile and transformational leader, with diverse management skills and cross-cultural expertise, acquired whilst living and working in contrasting international environments (including Australia, The Middle East, Asia and Europe).

Conor has been involved with several successful start-up businesses, including environmental companies in Australia, Asia and the Middle East, as well as some innovative niche markets including the Australian communication’s sector, building up Expresscom Business Solutions from its inception in 2000 in South East Queensland, to have a presence across the East Coast of Australia as its Executive Director, and subsequently as the Sales Director and owner of House of Telecommunications (HOT), the exclusive Vodafone Business Partner for the region.

After returning to his true passion of the environment in 2006, Conor was the Founding Director and CEO of Micro-Biologic Pty Ltd, working with probiotic treatments for wastewater, odour control, animal husbandry and large scale waste reuse and composting internationally. Conor generated business through relationships developed whilst living in the Middle east with some of the largest companies in the region, including SABIC (The largest Public Company in Saudi), ARASCO foods and The Arriyadh Development Authority (Saudi Government) and also in Asia, with prestigious companies, including TATA in India. Conor has studied Marine Biology at James Cook University, Health Science and Microbiology at Griffith University, and has an Executive MBA from Bond University.

James Phelan – Member

Born and bred on the Gold Coast, James is a dedicated and loyal family man who is a long-time supporter of local Gold Coast Businesses & the Sporting Community. James thrives on giving back and received Clubman of the Year 2021-2022 at Surfers Paradise Cricket Club.

James is an experienced Managing Director with a demonstrated history in the motor vehicle industry, primarily as a Dealer Principal. He is a strong sales professional who has proven ability to innovate and lead businesses to a successful position.

James is a keen motivator who empowers all those around him, his passion for working with people and his dynamic business acumen is a true asset for Goldbridge moving forward.

Adam Gilmore – Member

Adam joins the Goldbridge Management Committee with a wealth of entrepreneurial experience.

During the previous 10 years, Adam has founded and directed several successful companies within the financial, property and marketing space.

Adam has a particular interest in addiction and mental health and is a firm believer anyone can turn their life around and become a meaningful member of society.

He hopes to put his business and people skills to use in serving the community through his role as an active Goldbridge Management Committee member.
